The CSE department hosted another successful edition of the “AUS High School Computing Bootcamp,” offering a mix of educational and engaging activities to inspire students in grades 10–12 and introduce them to the exciting world of computing. The bootcamp was attended by students from 13 schools across the UAE, and provided hands-on experiences in various fields through three practical workshops focused on the Blockchain, Microcontroller Development, and Computer Vision. The event was supported by the Sharakah Program, the Blockchain Club, the Computer Engineering Club, and the Artificial Intelligence Club.

The 14th AUS High School Computing Camp is an educational and entertaining event, targeted at students between grades 10-12.

The 14th edition of the camp will be running between 2nd and 7th of July 2022. Registration Deadline: 16th of June 2022.

Registration is limited to UAE resident students between grades 10-12. Registration is FREE on a competitive basis.

Top honors have been granted to three teams of AUS students in the Emirates Mars Mission’s Planet X challenge held recently in Dubai. Teams were tasked with designing a 3D model of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to fly in Planet X’s atmosphere and building an Unmanned Ground Vehicle that can finish five missions in five minutes. In designing the UAV, teams had to take into account the conditions of Planet X, such as its atmospheric pressure, gravity and surface temperature.
