Together with the Paracelsus Medizinische Privatuniversität (PMU), we are launching the new master’s program “Applied AI in Healthcare.” This English-language master’s program is our response to the growing need for professionals who can apply AI safely, responsibly, and in a practical manner within the healthcare sector 💡

The joint program combines our expertise in data science, AI, and digitalization with the clinical expertise of PMU and the University Hospital of Salzburg. The goal is to actively shape the healthcare of the future—from intelligent diagnostics to the successful integration of AI into everyday care 🚀

A practical approach is particularly important to us. Even participants without an in-depth technical background will gain step-by-step, in-depth insights into artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. In this way, we are creating a future-oriented continuing education program at the intersection of technology, medicine, and society 🤝

A warm welcome to Cornelia Schneider! 👋

Starting in May, Cornelia Schneider will take over as head of the Department of Information Technologies and Digitalization at FH Salzburg. We are excited to have her on board as an experienced expert in research, teaching, and industry. With fresh ideas and a clear vision, she will play an active role in shaping the future of our IT department 🚀

At the same time, we would like to sincerely thank Gerhard Jöchtl, who has built up and shaped the department with great dedication for more than 30 years! His commitment to practice-oriented teaching, strong research, and close collaboration with industry has made the IT Department a central educational and research institution in the region 👏

Cornelia has a clear vision and aims to further strengthen Salzburg in the areas of digitalization and applied computer science. The focus is on future-oriented topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, industrial informatics, and robotics. She also places great importance on the close connection between research, teaching, and practice 🤖📚

We may speak different languages, but we all speak the language of nursing!👩‍⚕️🩺

For the first time, the meeting of the European Network of Nursing in Higher Education (ENNE) took place in Salzburg. And we were honored to welcome 83 students and faculty members from all over Europe to our campus 👏

The week focused on international dialogue about nursing education and strengthening European networks. In addition, there were country presentations, networking sessions, and the opportunity to experience practical nursing skills firsthand with a look inside our SkillsLab 💪

A big thank you to everyone involved who made this amazing meeting possible! 🤩

And the exhibition is open! 🥳

Yesterday, the exhibition “WOODEN STRUCTURES. Die Zukunft auf dem Prüfstand” opened at Architekturhaus Salzburg 👏

The exhibition is a collaboration between the FH Salzburg and the Architecture Initiative, showcasing current research from the Department of Design and Green Engineering. The focus is primarily on the structural possibilities of timber construction 🪵🏠
