Sad news of the death of a pioneering mathematician. Katherine Johnson calculated trajectories for the space flights of John Glenn (amongst others) and featured in the movie 'Hidden Figures' https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51619848

Ms Johnson, who helped launch the first American into orbit, was portrayed in the film Hidden Figures.
