MEET THE EXPERT: The Junior Developer is Dead — How to Become a Local CTO

Our Certificate III in Information Technology students recently participated in an inspiring online industry session with Toni K., co-founder of Priset AI Students from our partner schools joined the session to explore the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence and the future of IT careers.

Toni shared valuable insights on how AI is transforming the technology industry, including the changing role of junior developers, the importance of human creativity and decision-making, and how students can use AI as a tool to learn, innovate, and build future businesses. Students also engaged in an interactive Q&A discussion covering AI ethics, software engineering pathways, startups, large language models, and emerging career opportunities in the digital economy.

One key takeaway from the session was that while AI continues to automate many technical tasks, human skills such as creativity, critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving remain essential and highly valued in the future workforce.

A valuable afternoon in Phnom Penh at the StudyAdelaide Agent Briefing Session, where Adelaide Education Group (AEG) connected with education agents, counsellors, and industry partners committed to supporting students on their international education journey. The session highlighted the collaborative efforts of StudyAdelaide, the South Australian Government, and education providers in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for international students, while also providing an opportunity for AEG to showcase pathways across the Adelaide International School (AIS), the Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT), and the Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE).
