✨ **National Reconciliation Week 2026 | All In** ✨

Over the past two weeks, Yungkurrinthi at Flinders University has been proud to stand together in the spirit of National Reconciliation Week, celebrating, reflecting, and committing to meaningful action.

A highlight for our team was hosting our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Conference, where we launched our new RAP alongside our Indigenous Workforce Strategy. A significant step forward in strengthening our commitment to First Nations peoples, communities, and futures.

We were also incredibly proud to attend the National Reconciliation Week Breakfast in Adelaide the largest in Australia. It was an inspiring and powerful reminder of the collective momentum toward reconciliation across the nation.

Across the University, we’ve seen an incredible range of activities bringing staff and students together, creating spaces for learning, truth-telling, connection, and shared responsibility.

As we move forward, we’re excited about what our new RAP will bring for Flinders University and the continued impact we can make together.

This year’s theme calls on all of us to go further, together:
👉 How will you be ALL IN for reconciliation?

Thank you to everyone who contributed, participated, and supported these important events, your commitment makes a real difference. 🖤💛❤️💙🤍💚

Today, Flinders University launches our new Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan 2026-2029 and our new Indigenous Workforce Strategy 2026-2030, just ahead of National Reconciliation Week.

Thank you to all the staff and students who have put in their time and ideas into both of these Strategies. We have achieved a lot over the last 2 RAPs and our first Indigenous Workforce Strategy. We can't wait to see what these two strategies bring!

Join us in the Hub at 10am for the launch.

We're excited to invite Indigenous applicants to apply for a role within our Yungkurrinthi Student Engagement (YSE) team. We're looking for a new Indigenous Student Success Officer. This is a role where you will see your influence and impact in real time.

You will work one-on-one with Indigenous students, supporting them on a range of matters, from pre-enrolment advice through to postgraduate studies and assisting with pathways to further study or employment. The role also provides support for outreach activities run by YSE, such as on-campus student recruitment events and Open Days, expos, NAIDOC and Reconciliation Week.

Excellent customer service skills, including excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills and the ability to provide reports, written information and presentations for a range of audiences will be critical to your success in this role, as will be your ability to make decisions, apply judgement and problem solving skills when dealing with sensitive and/or complex matters.

Flinders Mission is to change 10 million lives by 2035 – Be a part of that change. Uncle Lewis Yarlupurka O’Brien reminds us of the Kaurna phrase Naarly kumangka – “We’ll do it now, together”, and that is exactly the spirt of this team, and why this role matters.

Yesterday, we held our second Cultural Connection Workshop with Jack Buckskin and the team. It was a great way for students to come together, share a yarn, and take a short break from study. We’re already looking forward to spending time together again at our next session in August 🖤💛❤️
