Robbers Relive Glory Days 🏆🏆🏆

About 70 members of the Robb College rugby community from all over Australia and all over the world had a “brilliant weekend” in late September celebrating the club’s clean sweep of the New England competition in 2000.
Teammates flew in from Tonga, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Broome, Cloncurry and the Northern Territory to relive the historic victories in all three grades.
“Everyone had a ball and they’re all asking to do it again in five years’ time,” said former player and current director of the Robb College Foundation, Neil Hetherington.
As well as a ute-load of club memorabilia to reminisce over, attendees recreated team photographs and enjoyed a Q&A led by MC Tim Sullivan featuring stalwarts Steve Dalton, Sam Marshall, Rob Berry and Hamish Webb. Videos also beamed in recorded messages from those unable to make the reunion.
And the award for the longest-running rugby career goes to Lonnie Stone, who has played more than 400 games for the Coonabarabran Kookaburras since his Robb heyday. “He told us that the secret to his long career is that he’s never stopped… otherwise he’d never get going again,” Neil said.
