We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our nursing students following an incident on Friday evening. Another student remains in hospital.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends and loved ones, and with everyone who is supporting them through this incredibly difficult time.

We recognise that this loss will be deeply felt across our nursing cohort and the wider Charles Sturt Bathurst community.

With respect for those involved and their families and friends, Wednesday night’s Retro Prom will be cancelled.

We encourage our students to look after one another and to reach out for support if they need it. If this news has affected you or brought anything up for you, the Student Wellbeing Line is available 24/7:

Our thoughts remain with the students, their families, friends and the wider Charles Sturt nursing cohort and Charles Sturt Bathurst community at this difficult time.
