Learning computers as an adult can feel overwhelming at first — especially if you’ve been away from study or work for some years.

But in our Computer Skills classes at MCC Epping, learning is practical, supportive and hands-on 👩‍🏫

Recently, our students created presentations about their travel experiences and personal journeys — building confidence with real computer tasks in a fun and engaging classroom environment.

One student, Maria, shared how nervous she felt when starting the course, but with the support of our trainer Haih and her classmates, she gradually gained confidence and began completing assessments independently.

Students often describe Haih’s teaching style as patient, practical and easy to follow — helping learners feel comfortable asking questions and trying new skills step by step.

At MCC, computer learning is not just about technology. It’s about building confidence for work, study and everyday life.

The most powerful part of learning is how it makes people feel.

At MCC, our students come from all walks of life - exploring creativity, building confidence, learning new skills and finding community along the way.

🎨 “Painting became my weekly reset button.”
💻 “Excellent Trainer – David! Very engaging and explaining topics with relevant analogies.”
✍️ “Our trainer Paula shared so much of her talent and skills.”
👗 “The best trainer I’ve ever had!”

These moments remind us that adult learning is about more than courses and classrooms. It’s about confidence, connection, creativity and discovering something new about yourself.

Thank you to our students for sharing their experiences and being part of the MCC community.

Adult life can’t be just work and chores…

At some point you realise - You need something that’s just for you.

Not for work.
Not for productivity.
Just for enjoyment.

That’s where hobbies come in.

Sometimes the smallest moments bring people together in the biggest ways ☕💛

Yesterday our Epping and Mount Druitt campuses came together for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea — supporting people impacted by cancer.

Our trainers, staff and students created such a warm and welcoming space to connect, share stories, enjoy coffee and help raise support for an important cause.

A special thank you to our Lead trainer Elizabeth Smith and everyone involved in organising beautiful community event.
Thank you to our Barista students who proudly showcased their skills by preparing delicious coffee and treats for guests ☕🍰

At MCC, learning is not just about classrooms and courses — it’s also about community, kindness and supporting one another.

Thank you to everyone who joined us or contributed to the fundraiser 💛

Earlier this week our incredible Elizabeth, Sarah and Ashleigh proudly represented the MCC Early Childhood Education and Care team at the HumanAbility Qualification Review Roadshow, held at the Grace Hotel in Sydney’s CBD.

The full-day event provided a valuable opportunity to collaborate with industry peers and contribute feedback on draft qualifications, training pathways and current sector challenges.

Through participation in forums like this, MCC helps shape the future of ECEC training by contributing insights into delivery models, pathways, qualifications, units of competency and emerging workforce needs.

It was an incredibly meaningful and rewarding day filled with thoughtful discussion, collaboration and valuable networking opportunities.

Thank you to the HumanAbility team for supporting our sector and creating spaces where educators and training providers can share their voices and experiences.

What can a small garden grow? 🌱

At first — tomatoes, cabbage and herbs.
But very quickly… something more.

Smiles.
Conversations.
Connection.

Our MCC team brought together people from different cultures and backgrounds through simple gardening workshops.

No pressure. No experience needed.
Just people, learning and growing — together.

And that’s when it happened…

Strangers became familiar faces.
Conversations got easier.
A sense of belonging started to grow.

This is what community learning looks like 🧡
