Come join us for a drink and nibbly from 6:30pm at 'Ballistic Bagara - The Brewhouse' on Saturday the 18th of June. A great opportunity to catch up with friends after the end of term assessments and to farewell those students graduating.

Hi All!

An upcoming event to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day (IWIED) is happening on Thursday the 23rd of June from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Registration prices for students are $15 (which covers the evening's food). Please refer to the attached link for more event details.

This is a panel discussion where you can come and hear about all our amazing panelist's careers and even ask your own burning questions! The panelists include:

- Nicole Deighton;
- Narelle D'Amico;
- Dr Benjamin Taylor (our very own lecturer); and
- Anthea Fernando

Hi All!

The local EA committee has organised another event on the 18th of May from 3:30pm to 5:00pm at Green Solutions Wide Bay. The event will include a presentation on site by Michael Harrison the site manager followed by a tour of the facility. Please read the event details below and register through the link if you are keen to attend!

'This tour will expose you to the new state-of-the-art facility in Bundaberg used for composting and recycling green waste.

Green Solutions Wide Bay provides Wide Bay residents with a free and convenient green waste drop-off and disposal site that turns green waste into compost.

This goes a long way in creating a sustainable environment, reducing the planet's carbon footprint and reducing pollution.

Who should attend?
A tour of the green waste composting and recycling facility is relevant to a wide range of professions, including asset managers and environmental engineers. The facility uses modern machines and communication technologies relevant to mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and IT professionals.

On Wednesday the 13th of April at 6:00 pm, the EA Student Ambassadors will host a ‘Study Hacks!’ event in the engineering room (Room 13/G.03). You will be able to pick up some new tips and tricks for your future studies.
