Essential:
Previous experience in teaching English to adult learners
Energy, enthusiasm and passion for teaching
Flexibility in teaching style and can adapt to different types of learners, from business people, new migrants, housewives, etc.
Most lessons are 1-to-1 format, not in large groups, so ability to teach individual lessons.
Ability to teach English at all levels, including Business English, Advanced English skills, can teach specific communication skills (presentations, email writing), etc.
Experience to teach IELTS, TOEFL/TOEIC for high-level students
Ability to use different course materials – physical coursebooks and online learning resources are used for different students
Ability to personalise lessons for individual learning goals with adult students
Professional and mature conduct is essential as most customers are executives or their family members
Preferable:
TESOL qualification
Flexible availability – we have lessons available daytime on weekdays, occasionally weeknights if willing
Willingness to teach variable schedule – from 2 hours a day up to 6 hours+ on any day
Available to teach in Sydney CBD.
Benefits
Payment: $40 per hour incl. GST
