Our APC students recently joined our industry partners, in the medic tent at Ivory Rock.

From major events to remote environments, the Remote EMS crew delivers high-level medical coverage - and our students got an inside look at the fast-moving world of event medicine while working alongside qualified and experienced paramedics and medics.

From treating diverse cases to building confidence under pressure, this placement gave students a true taste of emergency healthcare in action. 🚑⛑️🩺

Meet Chris, one of our HLT51020 Diploma of Emergency Healthcare students making the most of every placement opportunity! 🌊🏁

“Absolutely buzzing” is how Chris describes his clinical placement experience so far - and it’s easy to see why!

From working on water events with the incredible team at Raceday Medical and gaining hands-on experience whilst on safety boats and jet skis, Chris is building real-world emergency response skills in high-pressure environments (and having a blast in the process). 🚤⛑️

Working alongside experienced doctors, paramedics, and mentor David, every shift has been a masterclass in fast, precise emergency care. 💪

And the experience hasn't just stopped there... Chris has also been involved in event medical clinc placements at:

🐎 Horse events
🤝 Community events

These placements are giving students like Chris the chance to turn their passion into a profession while gaining invaluable frontline experience - putting their learnings into practice.
