Earlier this month UTAS Rural Clinical School students Ty and Sienna attended DRIVERS 2026, a conference hosted by Monash Rural Health and the North West Victoria Regional Training Hub.
Ty was awarded the Best Interstate Research Presentation Award for his 'Clinical utility of colonoscopy in adults aged ≥80 years' research presentation. A huge congratulations to Ty 🎉
In Ty's words, DRIVERS brought together medical students and junior doctors from rural clinical schools across Australia. It was a great opportunity to hear about the diverse research being undertaken in rural and regional settings, connect with like-minded students and clinicians, and learn more about the opportunities available in rural medicine.
Thank you to the UTAS Regional Training Hub for sponsoring RCS students to attend this event.
🌟 We're proud to see our students representing University of Tasmania, the UTAS Rural Clinical School, and contributing to important conversations about the future of rural health.
