🍦 A Sweet Afternoon of English Practice and Connections!

Our international students enjoyed a relaxed frozen yogurt outing with Study Cairns Student Ambassador Saki, combining English practice with an opportunity to explore local food options in Cairns.

From practising how to order food in English to chatting with fellow students, the outing provided a friendly, real-life setting for students to build confidence, connect with others and enjoy an afternoon together.

Activities like these help international students develop practical communication skills, build friendships and feel more connected to the Cairns community.

A big thank you to Samba Bowl for welcoming our group, and to our Student Ambassadors for helping create a fun and inclusive experience for everyone!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Cairns Student Hub for our Tax Information Session!

A special thank you to Erick from KLC Consultants for sharing his knowledge and practical advice on navigating the Australian tax system as an international student.

From understanding Tax File Numbers (TFNs), income tax and tax returns to reading payslips, understanding superannuation and knowing where to find reliable tax information, we hope the session provided useful insights to help students feel more confident managing their tax responsibilities while studying and working in Australia.

We appreciate everyone who attended, asked questions and took the time to build their knowledge.
