Attention final year Bachelor and Masters students! A message from The Canberra Health Care Challenge Organising Committee.
The Canberra Interprofessional Healthcare Challenge is an annual event that was launched in 2019 with a vision to provide health professions students with an opportunity to engage in collaborative learning across disciplines and universities. The challenge is a unique extra-curricular activity for final year students and highlights their commitment to collaborative practice. The annual short series of events is achieved in partnership between the University of Canberra (Faculty of Health), Australian National University, Canberra Institute of Technology, and Canberra Health Services (CHS).
In 2026, we are inviting all final year allied health, medical, midwifery, and nursing students to participate in this challenge. Interested students will be allocated an interprofessional team and work together (with supportive mentoring from academics and clinicians from the universities and CHS). These teams will work together on an interprofessional problem and present their final piece to a panel of highly regarded judges, their peers, academics and clinicians at a finale event.
This three-evening series of events commences with:
1. A Launch Party Trivia Night (IP themed) at UCXBar on Thursday the 12th of March - and to that end I have included the flyer and the Eventbrite add to this email for info: (The Canberra Interprofessional Challenge 2026: Trivia Night Launch Party Tickets, Thu, Mar 12, 2026 at 5:30 PM | Eventbrite). The launch night is an opportunity for students to come along for a fun evening (with a free dinner) and hear more about the Interprofessional Challenge.
