ANU Australian Football Club https://linktr.ee/anuafcgriffins Training for both men's and women's teams are held at ANU South Oval (unless otherwise advised) on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Since 1961, the Australian National University Australian Rules Football Club (ANUAFC) has represented the ANU in the Canberra district competition of Australian Rules Football. With two men’s teams and a women’s team, the ANUAFC provides a safe, friendly and fun environment for students and non-students to learn the game of Australian Rules Football. All are welcome to attend.

Rozie joined the club in 2022 and has shown outstanding leadership from day one. She has taken on countless roles, both within the Buzzies as Captain, premiership player, and now Vice Captain, and off the field, as a board member, and a leading organiser and participant in the canteen and volunteer roster. All while dedicating endless behind-the-scenes hours to ensure every game day runs smoothly. A true role model and leader.

A natural footballer, Rozie quickly mastered the game and could be trusted in any position to make an immediate impact. Her versatility and adaptability underpin her playing style, and she really can have impact anywhere on the field. While predominantly playing in the mids, she has been known to sneak silky goals from 50m out or snap them from the sideline. Rozie epitomises side before self mentality with endless unrewarded run and repeat efforts. She’s quickly become one of the most decorated Griffs, with a Best and Fairest, President’s Award, Player’s Player, Best in Finals, and 30 Best Player awards under her belt!

Her enthusiasm for and dedication to fitness, footy, and team mates (and the extreme, cue Inward Bound!) is unrivalled and infectious. Over the past 5 years, Rozie’s influence on the Buzzies is hard to truly put into words, driving commitment to training in all conditions, setting an exceptional standard and a hunger for the footy that coaches dream of. Whether delivering a motivational buzzie speech or lifting the team’s spirits during the tougher moments, she has the heart of a lion, that’s for sure!

Rozie, the Griffs wouldn’t be the same without you. Congratulations on 50 incredible games!!
