Oops! UniHall Did It Again 🏆

UniHall has taken out first place at the Inter-College LipDub for the fourth year in a row — and it’s incredible to see this tradition continuing to bring so much energy, creativity, and Hall spirit to life.

For our alumni, it’s a great reminder of the UniHall moments that stay with you.

What’s your favourite LipDub moment from your time at Hall? Let us know in the comments!

There’s no place like UniHall.

To kick off Semester 1 and celebrate 80 years of community, UniHall’s Commencement Dinner transformed the Upper Quad into the dazzling Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz.

From the moment residents arrived along the yellow brick road, the evening was filled with colour, laughter, and connection. With themed MCs, a lively UniHall quiz, and inspiring words from Prof. Tim Colmer, the night was the perfect welcome for our newest residents.

As the lights of Emerald City glowed into the evening, the dance floor came alive—marking the beginning of new friendships, new memories, and a very special anniversary year at UniHall.

What do you remember about your first formal event at UniHall/Currie Hall?

Every object has a story…

This one is part of UniHall’s history, but we’re missing a few chapters. If you recognise it or remember its role around the Hall, we’d love for you to share and help keep our stories alive.

UniHall at 80: Uncovering Our Stories ✨

This beautifully presented engraved set is part of UniHall’s history, and the inscription on the lid offers a fascinating clue to its past.

The engraving is written in Latin and can be roughly translated into plain English as:
“The first prize of the noble art of engraving, awarded in perpetuity, by Currie House, in 1971.”

As we celebrate 80 Years of UniHall, we’re looking back at the traditions, achievements, and moments that shaped life in the Hall.

Do any alumni remember this piece, the award it represents, or the occasion it was connected to? If you recognise it or know more about its story, we’d love to hear from you and help preserve this part of UniHall’s legacy.
