Notre Dame Uni Law students Eva Medenis and Claudia Turner travelled to Croatia for the Brown-Mosten International Client Consultation Competition – an experience they describe as once-in-a-lifetime.

Supported by Notre Dame, the pair competed against teams from 18 countries on legal issues related to land use, placing second in two preliminary rounds and gaining valuable insights they will carry well beyond their degrees.

Notre Dame Uni is celebrating multiple wins at the 2026 Western Australian Architecture Awards, with the Fremantle Student Hub project, academics and alumni all recognised for award-winning work.

The Student Hub received awards for Educational Architecture and Interior Architecture, while Senior Lecturers Simon Pendal and Katherine Ashe were recognised through their architectural practices.

Many of the practices that took home awards employ our graduates and Master of Architecture students. Congratulations to all of the winners!

Three students from Saint Louis University (USA) recently visited the University of Notre Dame Australia’s Fremantle and Sydney Campuses, sharing insights from their work supporting people experiencing homelessness.

During their visit, Aleya Martinez, Bree Kloostra and Sara Saiki met with local organisations including RUAH, St Patrick’s and Centrelink, gaining valuable perspectives on how services in Australia compare to those in the United States.

The visit highlighted the strength of Notre Dame’s growing global partnership with SLU. The students also experienced Australian culture, visiting iconic local landmarks including Rottnest Island and attending an Australian Football League match between the Fremantle Dockers and Geelong Cats.
