✨ Last night, we had the privilege of attending the 2026 Sydney Business Awards at the magnificent Sydney Town Hall.

After winning Outstanding Community Organisation at the Southern Sydney Business Awards earlier this year, we were incredibly proud to be one of just seven finalists in the Sydney regional awards.

While the trophy didn’t come home with us this time, we’re honoured to have stood alongside some remarkable organisations making a difference across our communities. Congratulations to the category winner and all finalists.

A heartfelt thank you to Business NSW and City of Town Hall, and all event sponsors for a wonderful evening.

From Jannali to Sydney Town Hall, we’re proud of how far we’ve come and grateful to our staff, tutors, students, volunteers, partners and supporters who made this achievement possible. 💙

💛 Today, our college community came together for R U OK? Day.

Through shared conversations, a morning tea and moments of connection, students and staff took the opportunity to check in with one another and strengthen the sense of community that makes our college so special.

🌱 Little Seeds, Big Possibilities 🌱

Last month, we welcomed a wonderful group of Year 11 students from the Inclusive Education Unit at Endeavour Sports High School to SGSCC to explore what a community college has to offer.

As part of their visit, students put their green thumbs to work, creating their own mini garden pots to take home. 🌿 From planting seeds to learning something new, it was a great way to get hands-on and experience just a small taste of college life.

We're so grateful to the students and teachers for visiting. It was a pleasure having such a friendly and enthusiastic group on campus!

🏆 This Thursday, SGSCC will attend the 2026 Sydney Business Awards Gala as a Finalist in the Outstanding Community Organisation category.

While we are excited for the awards night, we are already incredibly proud of what this recognition represents.

Every day, our staff, tutors, volunteers, students, industry partners and community supporters help create opportunities for learning, connection and growth across our region. From lifelong learning and job-ready skills to inclusive programs and community events, this achievement reflects the collective impact of everyone who is part of the SGSCC community.

Mark met with our CEO Bernadette Mills, Disability Services Manager Rachael, students, staff and partners to learn more about the impact of community education and disability services across our region.
