Work Placement Success for BSB50120 Diploma of Business Students

Two of our on-campus BSB50120 Diploma of Business students have been offered employment as a result of their work placement when they finish their course. One has been offered a role at a primary school, and the other at a finance company.

It’s great to see our students leveraging their knowledge and experience to gain employment in their chosen fields.

A BSB50120 Diploma of Business prepares individuals for a variety of mid-level roles across multiple industries. These roles typically focus on administration, management, operations, and business support functions. Some of the common roles people pursue after obtaining this qualification include:

Meet Dr Chandrika Subramaniyan

Dr Chandrika Subramaniyan has recently joined our legal faculty as a trainer/assessor. Chandrika has been well received by our students.

She is a lawyer and barrister admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. She has had a notable career as a community leader, legal advocate, and scholar. Dr Subramaniyan has been deeply involved in helping migrants, refugees, and women from culturally diverse backgrounds, particularly through her work on issues like domestic violence, child protection and elder abuse.

Dr Subramaniyan has spent over 20 years in the Australian migrant resource and legal sectors, supporting vulnerable populations. In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded the Premier’s Harmony Medal in 2019, acknowledging her contributions to social cohesion and multicultural understanding in New South Wales.

With a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in law, she is an asset to the legal faculty at ACBC.

This week our on-campus BSB50720 Diploma of Paralegal Services and BSB50120 Diploma of Business students were privileged to attend a career information session hosted by the award-winning law firm Madison Marcus.

With offices located in capital cities throughout Australia, as well as a Shanghai office and affiliate firms in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East, Madison Marcus has a truly global reach. The firm not only hosts our students for work placement as part of ACBC’s unique program, which has been delivering invaluable work placements for almost 30 years, but also actively considers employing our graduates.

This session provided an invaluable opportunity for our students, our Careers Advisors, Svetlana Kuzmar and Chala Ongel, and their Trainers to gain insights directly from key industry professionals.
