Our English students visited the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), where they explored a range of fascinating exhibitions in one of Australiaβs leading cultural institutions. The visit gave students the opportunity to experience world-class artworks and exhibitions while learning more about creativity, history, and culture. π¨
During the excursion, students engaged with a variety of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and contemporary installations from artists such as Picasso and Monet. As they explored the exhibitions, they discussed their interpretations of the works, practised describing visual details in English, and shared their opinions about the themes and ideas presented by the artists. πΌπ
The exhibitions encouraged students to think critically, ask questions, and communicate their thoughts with their classmates and teachers. Through these discussions, students expanded their vocabulary and gained confidence using English in an authentic and engaging environment. π
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to develop their language skills while immersing themselves in the arts. The exhibitions sparked curiosity, inspired creativity, and encouraged students to express their ideas and perspectives in meaningful ways, making the excursion both educational and enjoyable. π
