Trinity College Foundation Studies (TCFS) is a special pathway course which prepares able overseas students for undergraduate entry to the University of Melbourne and other Australian universities. The generalist curriculum does not stream students into specific disciplines, which allows students the freedom to apply to a range of undergraduate courses upon completion of TCfs. The University of Me

lbourne guarantees entry into its undergraduate courses to TCFS students who achieve the required scores. Each year, more than 80% of Trinity graduates who apply to the University of Melbourne are successful in gaining an offer. Ideally located at the beautiful University of Melbourne campus, TCFS students enjoy the use of the University of Melbourne facilities including the libraries, health centre, gymnasium and pool.

From Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne, Aurelia Luvina Chow is embracing studying drama as a core subject, which she hadn’t expected.

English for Academic Purposes has also stood out to Aurelia, as she plans to major in psychology, and it has helped her develop research and essay-writing skills.

We’re excited to celebrate the achievement of Neeson Cripps Academy in Phnom Penh - the flagship secondary school of the Cambodian Children's Fund and a valued partner of Trinity College - on being named the world’s best STEM school 👏

Neeson Cripps Academy was awarded first place in the STEM category of the inaugural Global Schools Prize, selected from nearly 3,000 nominations across 113 countries, at the Education World Forum in London.

We were delighted to have two Neeson Cripps Academy alumni, Sreynoiy Nhev and Rita Em, join our Pathways School in the January Comprehensive intake this year, with aspirations to continue into Science degrees at The University of Melbourne.

On behalf of Sreynoiy, Rita, and the wider Trinity community, congratulations to Neeson Cripps Academy and the Cambodian Children’s Fund on this well-deserved recognition!

The second session of Cook It Club ran last Friday🍴

The recipe of the night was Chicken Palak (Hindi for spinach) and Tah-dig (Persian for crispy rice). A simple dish with only five ingredients - perfect for our students during mid-year exams.

We cooked together, ate together, and had a great time. Can't wait for the next one!

Today, 26 May 2026, marks National Sorry Day. It is a time to acknowledge the enduring impact of past injustices on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and reflect on how we can each contribute to a more just and respectful future.

On this day in 1997, the landmark Bringing Them Home report was tabled in federal parliament. Nearly three decades on, it is sobering that only a small number of its recommendations have been implemented.

This day also marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect on our shared histories and consider how we can advance reconciliation in practical and lasting ways.

There is still much work to be done. Trinity College is committed to being an agent for change. We are All In – today, throughout National Reconciliation Week, and every day – in our support for continued progress.

Amazing news for Foundation Studies alumnus and Chair of the Trinity Foundation Studies Alumni Network (TFAN) committee, Josh Nguyen (TCFS 2016)!

Duy Nguyễn was named the 2026 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year by the Minister for Youth, Luba Grigorovitch MP, at the 7NEWS Australia Young Achiever Awards VIC Gala Dinner.

A clinical psychologist, researcher and community leader, Josh is dedicated to driving lasting change in mental health systems, especially for marginalised communities.

A powerful example of what dedication can achieve, and a proud reminder of the impact our alumni carry forward.

Congratulations, Josh 🎉
