Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with more than two in three people likely to be diagnosed in their lifetime!
This March, people in the Limestone Coast will be able to access a free comprehensive skin check thanks to Adelaide University, Country SA PHN, Preventive Health SA, Skin Smart Australia, and Fat Farmers.
Suspicious skin lesions will be photographed and a report provided for follow-up care with your GP or usual health provider. With more than 80% of diagnosed skin cancers occurring in people aged 50 and over, people in this age group are encouraged to book.
