Semester 2 of uni is almost back and so are guest speaker workshops! To kick off the semester, we are supper excited to welcome who will be coming along to share his knowledge and experience with our community of DJ's. Our workshops with special guests are a great way to gain further insight into the world of djing and learn from others in the industry who have plenty of experience and are always out there doing what they do best.
A bit about DJ Lowblow -
Coming from a strong Hip Hop / RnB background, DJ LOWBLOW has made his very own and self-confident open format style combining multiple genres of music. Influenced by DJ's such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ AM, DJ Premier, Diplo, Four Color Zack & A-Trak. He has a passion for keeping the crowd guessing what's going to come next. He really knows his craft. His DJ sets are characteristically random and dynamic blending the old with the new. Also combining technical elements to his sets including scratching, wordplay and live remixing. Currently holds residences at Newcastle's biggest night venues such as King Street, The Argyle House & Queens Wharf. But has also played venues across Australia in Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Coffs Harbour, Armidale, Port Macquarie & The Central Coast. Also has played internationally in Bali as an official Schoolies DJ. Was a 2016 Red Bull 3style Australian finalist and former teacher at NMA (National Music Academy). Has played major sporting events (NRL halftime show, Supercars main stage etc).
Come along on the 24th July. We will be kicking things off from 6:30 and having open decks as usual after the workshop! See you there
