University of Newcastle Sikh Society

University of Newcastle Sikh Society Educate • Learn • Serve A platform for University of Newcastle students to learn, and educate the wider community about, Sikhi. Open to one and all!

The Sikh faith is the 5th largest in the world. With the universal teachings within its interfaith scripture - Guru Granth Sahib Ji - it is a way of life, rather than a religion. 'Sikh' means 'to learn'; hence, a Sikh is someone with a desire to learn about the world and about themselves, with the help of the Guru. Bringing Sikhi’s values of righteousness and oneness to the campus of UoN, the Sik

h Society works to learn and educate about the universal principles of social and spiritual justice. This is achieved and practically applied through activities such as meditation, food drives, history sessions and community service, on campus and beyond. UoN Sikh Soc welcomes one and all! Yearly membership = $10.
