Last month we hosted the annual Wollotuka Institute HDR Gathering, as part of the university's broader HDR Fest. The day brought together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander PHD and Master of Philosophy candidates for a day of networking, and knowledge sharing.

We heard from current students and recent graduates, and they all had the same underlying passion that has lead them down the road of Higher Degree Research; to grow their knowledge, and improve outcomes for their communities.

What a morning to celebrate blak excellence at University of Newcastle, Australia with our annual Wollotuka Scholarships Breakfast.

The Scholarships Breakfast is a highlight event on the Wollotuka calendar each year. It’s a morning to allow donors and students to come together, meet, and for the impact of such support to be shared through storytelling and connection.
