AMSI Choose MATHS CHOOSEMATHS is a collaborative venture between the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) and the BHP Billiton Foundation.

The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) and the BHP Billiton Foundation are empowering Australian students to pursue mathematics through their five-year national program CHOOSEMATHS. The program aims to turn around public perception of mathematics and will contribute to the health of the mathematics pipeline in Australia from school through university and out into industry. l careers awareness campaign targeting students, parents and teachers brings maths into the real world to highlight the diverse career opportunities open to mathematically skilled graduates. Additionally, school outreach initiatives strengthen education outcomes, empowering teachers with the skills and confidence to mould the next generation of mathematical leaders. Together these initiatives assist to improve the standard of mathematics education in Australia and strengthen student engagement to increase participation in high-level mathematics.
