Australian College of Studies RTO CODE 110069 CRICOS 3400D
At ACOS, we believe that vocational education and training is about more than attaining a certificate or a diploma.

It’s about a personal journey of transformation, empowerment and new career opportunities. Founded by the private hospital sector and healthcare researchers, the Academy has developed courses to provided pathways to the Carers profession since 2005. The Australian College of Studies [ACOS], formally known as the Australian Academy of Nursing has dedicated itself to forging bonds between academia,

industry, and the community. Our commitment to our students is strengthened by our belief that the Carers profession provides a worthwhile opportunity to care for the vulnerable members of our community. The Academy integrates teaching with research led by lecturers and trainers who are experienced practitioners in the sector. This achieves personalised training of Carers from diverse backgrounds. Our campus brings together small, well-coordinated groups of students with overseas and local qualifications, and entry level knowledge. These groups are engaged in a dynamic non-traditional learning environment which integrates classroom teaching, online learning, clinical laboratory sessions, and practical placement in both hospitals and care facilities.

🌿 Educational Field Trip – Cockatoo Island 🌿

Our Diploma of Community Services students recently visited Cockatoo Island as part of the unit Promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety led by Trainer Nazia.

Students engaged in cultural activities including traditional music, dance, storytelling, Aboriginal-inspired painting, and group discussions focused on respect, inclusion, and culturally safe practices in community services.

This meaningful experience encouraged deeper understanding, reflection, and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and connections to Country. πŸ’›πŸ–€β€οΈ

In celebration of International Women's Day on 8 March, the Diploma of Community Services (DCS) class under Miss Nazia created meaningful artworks showcasing inspiring women and their remarkable achievements.

Through their crafts, students highlighted influential women from different fields who have made a lasting impact on society. Each portrait represents strength, resilience, leadership, and the power of women to inspire change in our communities. πŸ’œ

This creative activity encouraged students to reflect on the contributions of women around the world while celebrating the importance of empowerment, equality, and respect.

From Baliwag to Sydney: A Partnership Growing Stronger

The Australian College of Studies (ACOS) was honoured to welcome Atty. Robert John Donesa, President of Dalubhasaang Politekniko ng Lungsod ng Baliwag and Prof. Felipe Carlo Clarin, the Program Director for Institute of Business Administration of the same institution, for an official visit as part of partnership.

For the past two years, ACOS and BTech have been strong partners following the signing of our MOU and MOA β€” creating valuable opportunities for students and strengthening international collaboration between Australia and the Philippines. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Day 1 began with a warm welcome and a quick tour of Sydney’s iconic landmarks β€” the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

During their visit, they met the ACOS team led by Ms. Roula Christodoulides (General Manager of Operations), together with Ms. Roohi Rehman (CRICOS and Training Manager), Mr. Reginald Mangilit (ICT Business Analyst), and Ms. Shiarrah Gayle Menguin (Student Support Officer and Advertising Specialist).

They toured our campus, sat in during our Graduate Diploma of Management (GDM) and Ageing Support classes, and had meaningful discussions with our trainers to further explore how we can expand and strengthen our partnership for the benefit of BTech students and the wider Baliwag community.

A highlight of the visit was touring Thorndale Foundation in Werrington β€” one of our valued work placement partners β€” where they saw firsthand how ACOS students gain practical, real-world experience in the community services sector.

We concluded the visit by celebrating Atty. Donesa’s upcoming birthday with the ACOS team β€” a wonderful way to end a productive and meaningful engagement. πŸŽ‰

We look forward to continuing this strong partnership and creating even more opportunities together.
