🌏 Discover Perth: Agent Education Week ✨

It was fantastic to see the strong collaboration across during Discover Perth: Agent Education Week 2026, proudly organised and sponsored by StudyPerth and the City of Perth.

We were delighted to welcome 32 education agents from Melbourne and Sydney to experience firsthand what makes Perth such a unique and attractive study destination, from our lifestyle and liveability to the quality of education and student experience on offer.

Some from the week included:

Our Trainer and Assessor, Katarina Zerzan, presented “NIT Connect – Connecting Students, Technology & Community” and joined a panel discussion with industry professionals.

Through NIT Connect, our students and alumni deliver technology workshops that support older people and high school students in building digital skills, confidence, and access to new opportunities 💻✨

At the same time, they grow valuable skills like leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Last week, our Professional Year students at the National Institute of Technology had an incredible opportunity: a mock interview session with industry professionals across a range of sectors.

Here are the key takeaways our students walked away with:

📌 The first five years in tech:

At a recent ACS ( Australian Computer Society) panel, industry professionals shared what really matters early on.

𝘿𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙨 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙤𝙣 highlighted the importance of mindset over skillset, encouraging professionals to invest early in learning and adapt to how AI is changing roles.

𝙈𝙖𝙞 𝙉𝙜𝙪𝙮𝙚𝙣: focused on taking action — understanding job market expectations and not waiting for the “perfect time” to start.

𝙍𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙚𝙧: reminded us that growth comes from connecting technical work with real business impact.
