We had an awesome lineup of games and we had a lot of fun playing them today. It was a really close competition thank you everyone for participating and making the jam awesome.

The winning game was "GetWellBot3000"!
Congratulations to the devs: Joseph (RedBlueCarrots), Evan (BruvTheScrub), Ethan (EthanVB123) and Caleb (CK)!

Games that scored highest for each Criterion:
- Creative Use of Theme: "GetWellBot3000"
- Appealing Art and Sound: "Quarantine"
- Fluid and Fun Gameplay: "Animal Cruelty"

Start of the first ever Game Jam at UWA.

The theme of the Game Jam was "Infection".

We ran an event for people to find a team to join if they didn't have one and gain some tips if they are new to jam games.

It was great meeting everyone!

Hey everyone!

I'm Joshua Noble from Game Development UWA. We are a new club that aims to bring game development to UWA. It's a great opportunity to enhance your coding skills, make games, meet likeminded people and have fun.

We will be hosting a Godot workshop for beginners over the holidays in June. The workshop will introduce you to the Godot game engine and walk you through making your own game!

With the knowledge you gain from the workshop you will be equipped to participate in our upcoming Game Jams. For those of you that don't know what a game jam is, it's a friendly competition where you make your own game based on a given theme. It will be an awesome challenge and a whole lot of fun.
