See you next Wednesday 24 June for Chill Space at Prahran campus. If you've been before, you'll know where to find us, if not, check out the post on the Student Portal for location information. We will be there from 12pm - 1pm with some hot drinks and a little treat to eat.

The Melbourne Polytechnic Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design students present their annual online auction for 2026, which raises funds for their exhibition at the Darebin Arts Centre.

This year’s auction features works by our final year students alongside pieces generously donated by established Australian artists, Melbourne Polytechnic alumni and our talented teachers.

Their $13,000 target has already been reached but there is still time to snap up a beautiful piece and support our students as they prepare for their graduate exhibition.

The 2026 National Reconciliation Week's theme is 'All In'.

It is a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia. Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

Former student Brett Lee (Pirritu) is a Ngiyampaa man and First Nations singer-songwriter. He reminds us to walk together on this journey and to nurture the connections we make today. The friendships you build now could become powerful supports in the years ahead.

Be all in. Join us on campus at the Reconciliation Week events, meet the Yurrongi Centre crew for a yarn and make meaningful connections with your fellow students as we take steps together for Reconciliation.

Today we commemorate National Sorry Day, honouring the strength and truth of Stolen Generations survivors and their families.

Saying sorry matters, but sorry without action is not enough. We must act now to deliver justice and address the ongoing impacts of removal and trauma.

From tomorrow, National Reconciliation Week begins with the theme All In, a call for all of us to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

IDAHOBIT is about raising awareness of discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. With warm drinks and morning tea, people gathered to have important conversations. We also had some fun!
