People often assume celebrants need to be outgoing, extroverted or the loudest person in the room.

The truth?
➡ The best celebrants are usually great listeners.

They're calm under pressure.
They're organised.
They make people feel comfortable.

Most importantly, they're trusted with one of the most important moments in someone's life.

If you enjoy working with people and helping create meaningful experiences, you might already have the qualities that matter most.

Most courses cost money.
➡ Some courses create opportunity.

For many celebrants, the investment in their training is recovered through their first few ceremonies.

That's why so many people are looking at celebrancy differently.

Not just as a qualification.

But as a practical skill that can create flexibility, additional income and long-term opportunities.

If you've been considering your next move, this might be worth exploring.

A lot of people come into celebrancy thinking it's all about weddings.

But what surprises many students is that it's actually about people.

Understanding people.
Connecting with people.
Learning how to create moments that feel personal, meaningful and memorable.

The ceremony itself is just one part of it.

The real skill is helping people feel seen, heard and comfortable during some of the biggest moments of their lives.

Who is suited to becoming a celebrant?

There’s no such thing as the "perfect" celebrant.

They come from all walks of life, all careers and all backgrounds.

What matters isn't what you do now or what you look like.

What matters is who you are.

Great celebrants are people who make others feel comfortable. They communicate well, can speak confidently in front of a group, and most importantly, can be trusted with one of the most important moments in someone's life.

Because at the heart of every ceremony is a couple placing their trust in you.

If you're someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and helping create meaningful moments, celebrancy might be worth exploring.

One of the biggest misconceptions about becoming a celebrant is that you need to completely change your life overnight.

You don't.

Many celebrants start while working full-time, raising a family, running a business or juggling other commitments.

That's the beauty of it.

You can build it at your own pace.

One ceremony becomes two.
Two become five.

Before long, you've created an additional income stream that works around your life - not the other way around.

🥰 Reviews like this are exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you Kelly for your beautiful words and for trusting Rose Training to be part of your celebrancy journey.

We believe great celebrants need more than just the qualification itself. They need confidence, support, guidance and real-world knowledge to help them build something meaningful long after the course ends.

Congratulations Kelly - we can’t wait to see where celebrancy takes you.

A great celebrant doesn’t just create a beautiful ceremony ♥️

They know how to hold a room.

That’s why MC skills are one of the smartest add-ons a celebrant can develop.

Couples already trust you with one of the biggest moments of their day, so being able to confidently guide the reception too can create a far more seamless experience for everyone involved.

Our Professional Master of Ceremonies: Confident Event Hosting short course is designed to help you step into that role naturally and confidently.

You’ll learn how to:
– open an event professionally
– introduce speakers with confidence
– manage timing and transitions
– keep energy flowing in the room
– handle unexpected moments calmly
– develop your own authentic MC style

Completely online and self-paced, this short course is ideal for celebrants wanting to expand their skills and create additional income opportunities.
