Patrick Galligan is a Solutions Consultant for Higher Education at Palo Alto Networks with over three decades of enterprise networking and cybersecurity experience globally. His technical background ranges from massive MPLS network design and enterprise wireless to zero-trust strategies, next-generation firewall infrastructure and network security. No need to bring anything extra this week, and there may be some time for some Q&A after the talk. Can’t wait to see you all there!

He will be telling us a couple of stories about dealing with and managing some *concerning* situations in Info Sec such as "What happens when someone openly says they will break policy to get around a restriction". **ONLINE** Games night!
Hello everyone! This week will be an **online** games night, **There will be no in person event due to the Ekka public holiday**.
We will start at 6pm in our discord, and will be playing games depending on what people want to play, contenders are Minecraft, among us, various “friendslop” games, or other sugestions!
This will be a pretty chill event and will likely go on fairly late, so feel free to hop in whenever and play what interest you! We will likely be splitting into various small groups on different games but will run some bigger games if we have the numbers.

Intro to CTF and Linux!

Hey everyone! This Wednesday we’ll be having a workshop on CTFs and Linux, this is a workshop that is very beginner friendly, so please come along even if you’re new! Please make sure to bring a laptop, you may wish to install Linux beforehand, but we will be walking you through this on the day.

# # # What is a CTF?
CTFs are a form of puzzle which require problem solving or hacking skills to find/create/decrypt a flag. They are a fantastic and safe way to get real cybersecurity experience exploiting and securing vulnerable systems and technologies.

This is inside the 'Hobby/Interest' section of the stalls, and not the EAIT section. Keep in mind that this semester's market day will on the Forgan Smith Lawn and not in the Great Court area.
