We are excited to announce the Annual Gerneral Meeting for the CIA will be held Monday 30 October 2023. All executive positions will be open for nominations (swipe to see all positions) and we'd love to see you apply whether you are an existing member or a fresh face, all are welcome!!

Are you interested in taking an active role in the UTS community?
Help fellow students adapt to a new environment creating a sense of community?
Provide better access to resources and information for students who may be unfamiliar with the Sydney scape?
And are you looking to connect with people and make a safe space where all are welcome?

What is the CIA? We recognise the transition to uni is a difficult one that can be exacerbated by long commutes or relocating far from home. The CIA or Country and International Alliance is social circle, a safe space for new people to Sydney whether from overseas or regional areas to meet others in similar circumstances, to share advice, and help adjust to Sydney life. We value authentic, meaningful connections between students and the unique and diverse perspectives that every member brings with them.

We are back with Kev's Mandated fun time tomorrow at 5:30pm! We have had a room change and we are now located in Building 5D Level 2 Room 019.

Every second Monday, we The Country and International Alliance will open the doors to Building 5D Level 2 room 019 and welcome our members to a chill session of games, snacks and chats. So if you're looking for a place to socialise, meet new people in a relaxed environment and just have fun, then come along to meet the CIA and our Mascot Kevin the Kookaburra.

If you're feeling lonely, stressed or overwhelmed at any point in this semester, you can always reach out to the CIA. We guarantee other members have experienced what you're going through and you are not alone. Kev's Mandated Fun Time returns this semester starting 5:30pm tomorrow CB11.B2.101!!

What's a better way to end the first day of university than to celebrate with a few games with the CIA? The perfect chance to meet fellow members from day one 😎

Every second Monday from 7 August, we The Country and International Alliance will open the doors to Building 11 Level B2 room 101 and welcome our members to a chill session of games, snacks and chats. NO FUN TIME TODAY 😭😭😭

Due to unforeseen circumstances (involving Jetstar 😅) we regret to inform that Kev's mandated fun time will need to be postponed to a later date. We were really looking forward to meeting all our members in person and we are so sorry for any inconveniences caused. We will make up for it in our next session so sit tight and keep an eye out on what we have to offer.
