One of my greatest pleasures is introducing my students to History Mythology, Science, Theology, Philosophy Anatomy, Style, Drawing and Colour through the medium of paintings from various centuries.
My favorite and the one l always start with is :
Allegory of Venus and Cupid by Bronzino 1540-60 National Gallery London, where l have lectured many times revealing its meaning to my Australian students.
In the end l realized l just have to have it for myself to hang in the studio.
The drawing took a week.
I expect between classes it will take a few months to paint.
Oil on canvas 90cm x 75cm.

This year 2023 it occurred to me it’s twenty years since Concord was withdrawn from service.
This brought back happy memories for me flying from London to New York every time visiting friends.
A couple of highlights, in those days you were alowed on the flight deck, and in coversation with both pilots and flight engineer l saw the sun rise looking down the long nose of Concord in the west over Newfoundland.
We were traveling faster than the rotation of the earth.
And seeing the curve of the earth from my window seat.
And just to show l’m not romancing a few pictures of the goodies l was given including my boarding pass and gold pen
