The Macquarie University Debating Society (MUDS) is dedicated to representing Macquarie University in intervarsity debating tournaments and the development of members debating and public speaking abilities. We meet on Mondays during semester at the Ubar at 5:30 before heading off to a room at 6pm for a seminar and a practice debate. All Macquarie students are welcome, no matter what your experience or degree!

We are greatly saddened to announce the cancellation of 2025 Mac Pre-Worlds due to low numbers 😔😔

Wishing a great success to the international comps running that weekend, and wishing all pre-worlds debaters a good practice run!

We’re going to retreat to cook up some more exciting stuff, keep an eye out for Mac society announcements!!
