CALL FOR AGENDA ITEMS AND UPDATE REGARDING ENROLMENT APPOINTMENTS:
Dear UNSW Law & Justice student community,
We hope you are all well and have had a great start to Term 3!
Next Wednesday, the Reps will be having one of their regular meetings with Faculty. If you have any issues which you would like to have addressed at the meeting, please feel free to send a message to one of the Reps. We raise all issues with Faculty anonymously and as always, we will provide a summary after the meeting of the matters discussed.
Additionally, during our meeting with Faculty over the holidays regarding elective enrolment issues, we also raised our concerns that some students were receiving later enrolment appointments compared to the rest of their cohort which contributed to these students having fewer enrolment options compared to their peers once they were able to enrol.
Faculty came back to us and informed us that enrolment appointments are issued based on the number of units of credit (UOC’s) students have completed but noticed that Internal Program Transfer (IPT) students were accidentally receiving later appointments due to their pre-transfer UOC’s no longer being recognised. Faculty informed us today that they have gone through the list of current IPT transfer students and ensured that these students (who have the same projected law progression as the rest of their peers) now have the same enrolment appointment time as the rest of their cohort. If this is not the case, Faculty have asked impacted students to call Student Services to ensure they are given the correct time.
If you are having any issues with Student Services regarding this matter, please inform one of the reps. We will be able to assist you in getting the issue rectified.
Despite Uni being online for the remainder of the term, the incoming end of lockdown suggests a return to everyone being back together on campus again is not too far away!! We look forward to seeing you all again soon, but in the meantime, we hope you all stay safe and have a great term!
Kind regards,
UNSW Law Student Representatives
