This year’s AMP University Challenge winner has been announced. Congratulations to Bonnie O'Donnell from University of Wollongong!

Bonnie, who currently works with Fire and Rescue NSW, said she’s going to apply the same attitude she has in helping people as a firefighter to her future role in the financial advice profession.

A big congratulations to all the finalists who demonstrated a high level of professionalism, talent and passion for the financial advice profession. The University Challenge is a great opportunity for those looking to start a career in financial advice and at AMP, we are proud to host an event that supports the next generation of advisers.

Thanks to everyone who made a submission for marking in this year's game...the quality was high indeed. Finalists are now preparing for next week's finals day are this year they come from
- Deakin University (Sarah Hoffmann, Garth Andrew and James Flannery + Max Lucas, Scott Westerweller and Lincoln Krieger = 2 teams),
- TAFE NSW - Higher Education (Yuet Lam and Thanh Le = 1 team) and
- University of Wollongong (Jarrod Walter and Bonnie O'Donnell = 2 teams).

The 2021 University Challenge Finals Day is underway with eight finalists from across UTS Sydney, Griffith University, Deakin University and UOW: University of Wollongong, Australia competing for top honours!

Our Director, AMP Advice, Matt Lawler, has addressed the finalists, speaking to the value of quality financial advice.

"If we can do a really good job helping people be financially organised, we can make a huge difference to the community.”

Our latest competition saw more than 510 registrations from 30 universities, showcasing the high calibre of competition this year's virtual event has attracted.

Throughout the day, we look forward to seeing our finalists take part in a financial planning-themed technical quiz and client meeting assessment.
