The Equus College of Learning & Research {ECL&R} was founded in 1998 to deliver courses in Animal Therapies Internationally the therapies are based on the procedures and protocols of the Bowen techniques as delivered by Bowtech BTAA โข The ECL&R is a privately owned college and accredited as the official 'Animal Arm of Bowtech' Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia [BTAA]
All qualified practitio
ners can be registered with both the ECL&R and BTAA for international recognition..... * conditions apply
And for membership with the Bowen Associations in their Countries..... * conditions apply
ECL&R also runs a self funded rescue and rehabilitation center for both horses and dogs. The gentle non- invasive therapies of EMRT and CCmrt are the only modalities performed on the animals. The animal therapies are totally non-invasive in nature and assessment. " we work WITH the horse or small animal,.....THEY dictate how we do the therapy,........... the length of time needed to perform it............, when to do the moves and by working with the animal body's own innate intelligence we can effect amazing results." The registered and trademarked therapies EMRT and CCmrt are based on the principals of the Bowen Technique [Bowtech] ....though they were totally developed for the four legged quadruped. ' the weight baring of the 4 legged is totally different to the 2 legged
The Animal therapies taught through the Equus College are the brain child of former primary school teacher and Equine and small animal Veterinary nurse, Alison Goward, whose mission in life is to 'give back to the Horse'
" I have been writing Government accredited Body Therapy courses for colleges for over 30 years, researching and teaching Internationally. When I came across the Bowtech courses taught by the Bowen Academy in the late 1980's for Humans I knew this was the therapy for the horse. In 1989 with permission of BTAA I started 3 years of research, ....".A.G.......................and the rest as they say is History
