Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of a truly beloved Chairman and Associate Professor of Department of CSE Premier University, Mr. Sayed Minhaz Hossain.

He wasn't just a teacher; he was a friend, a mentor, and the driving force behind so much of our department's success. We will forever cherish his kindness, his unwavering support, and the genuine enthusiasm he brought.

Thank you Sir for everything. You will be dearly missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts during this difficult time."

চট্টগ্রাম, ০৬ নভেম্বর ২০২৩: সম্প্রতি প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় চট্টগ্রাম এর কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান ও প্রকৌশল বিভাগ এর অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশন সংক্ষেপে (CSEAA-PU) এর পক্ষ থেকে নব-নির্বাচিত সভাপতি রিচার্ড বিশ্বাস সহ একটি প্রতিনিধি দল নগরীর জি.ই.সি মোড়ে অবস্থিত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাসে আন্তর্জাতিক খ্যাতিসম্পন্ন সমাজবিজ্ঞানী ও প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় চট্টগ্রামের মাননীয় উপাচার্য একুশে পদকপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষাবিদ প্রফেসর ড. অনুপম সেন মহোদয়ের সাথে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ ও শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় করেন। এতে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কোষাধ্যক্ষ প্রফেসর ডঃ তৌফিক সাঈদ।
এ সময় সংগঠনের নব-নির্বাচিত সভাপতি রিচার্ড বিশ্বাস সংগঠনের গঠনতন্ত্রের কপি ও নব-নির্বাচিত কার্যকরী সদস্যবৃন্দের তালিকা উপাচার্য মহোদয় এর নিকট হস্তান্তর করেন ও সংগঠনের কার্যকলাপ সম্পর্কে উপাচার্য মহোদয় কে অবহিত করেন।
উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. অনুপম সেন স্যার অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের নব নির্বাচিত কার্যকরী সদস্যদের অভিনন্দন জানান ও সংগঠনের কার্যক্রমকে ত্বরান্বিত করতে দিক-নির্দেশনামূলক উপদেশ প্রদান করেন। উপাচার্য মহোদয় এ সাক্ষাতে CSEAA-PU সংগঠনের সকল প্রয়োজনে সহায়তা করার আশ্বাস দেন। তিনি বলেন, প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উন্নতিতে অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের ভূমিকা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
এসময় তিনি সংগঠনের প্রশংসা করে পৃথিবীর বিখ্যাত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সমূহের অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের ভূমিকা ও কার্যকলাপ তুলে ধরে প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান ও প্রকৌশল বিভাগের অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর কার্যক্রম কে আরো গতিশীল ও সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগের কার্যক্রমে অবদান রাখতে পরামর্শ প্রদান করেন।
উপস্থিত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কোষাধ্যক্ষ প্রফেসর ডঃ তৌফিক সাঈদ এই বিষয়ে সহমত পোষণ করেন।

পরে প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় চট্টগ্রামের মাননীয় উপাচার্য, একুশে পদকপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষাবিদ প্রফেসর ড. অনুপম সেন স্যার বাংলা একাডেমি প্রদত্ত “সাহিত্যিক মোহাম্মদ বরকত উল্লাহ প্রবন্ধসাহিত্য” পুরষ্কারে ভূষিত হওয়ায় অ্যালমনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর পক্ষ হতে সভাপতি রিচার্ড বিশ্বাস উপাচার্য মহোদয় কে ফুল দিয়ে শুভেচ্ছা জানান এবং বলেন, “আমরা প্রফেসর ড. অনুপম সেন স্যারের এই সাফল্যে গভীরভাবে আনন্দিত। তিনি একজন কৃতি শিক্ষাবিদ ও সমাজবিজ্ঞানী। তাঁর এই পুরস্কার অর্জন আমাদের সবাইকে গর্বিত করেছে। আমরা তাঁর ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মজীবনে আরও সাফল্য কামনা করি।”

উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন সংগঠনের যুগ্ম সম্পাদক মো তৌহিদুল ইসলাম ও আব্দুল কাদের আকিব, সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মো সাজ্জাদুল হোসাইন, সহ-সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক সমর দাশ, সহ-দপ্তর সম্পাদক আবীর দাশ,তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ বিষয়ক সম্পাদক সৌমেন পাল ও সদস্য পাপ্পু দাশ রিমন।

উল্লেখ্য, প্রফেসর ড. অনুপম সেন স্যার একজন প্রখ্যাত সমাজবিজ্ঞানী। তিনি চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমাজবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ছিলেন। তিনি একুশে পদক, বাংলা একাডেমি সাহিত্য পুরস্কার, নজরুল পুরস্কারসহ বিভিন্ন পুরস্কারে ভূষিত হয়েছেন।

A courteous meeting between the Vice-Chancellor of Premier University and the recently elected CSE Alumni Association committee

Chattogram, 6th November, 2023: The recently elected President, Richard Biswas, along with a delegation, on behalf of the Computer Science and Engineering Alumni Association of Premier University Chattogram (CSEAA-PU), held a meeting with the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Anupam Sen, a distinguished sociologist and recipient of the Ekushey Padak. Treasurer of Premier University Professor Dr. Taufique Sayeed was also present.

During the meeting, President Richard Biswas presented a copy of the organization's constitution and a list of the newly elected executive members to Professor Dr. Anupam Sen, providing an overview of the organization's activities.

Professor Dr. Anupam Sen congratulated the newly elected executive members of the Alumni Association and offered guidance to enhance the organization's activities. He assured full support from Premier University for CSEAA-PU and emphasized the crucial role of alumni associations in the university's growth. Professor Dr. Anupam Sen also commended the role and activities of alumni associations in globally renowned universities and encouraged CSEAA-PU to become more dynamic and involved in departmental activities. The current University Registrar, Professor Dr. Taufique Sayeed, expressed agreement with this perspective.

Later in the program, President Richard Biswas congratulated Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Anupam Sen on behalf of the Alumni Association (CSEAA-PU) on being awarded of the prestigious Mohammad Barkatullah Essay Literature Award from the Bengali Academy. He stated, "We are immensely pleased with the accomplishments of Professor Dr. Anupam Sen. He is a distinguished educator and sociologist, and his success is a source of pride for us all. We wish him continued success in his future endeavors."

Notably, Professor Dr. Anupam Sen is a renowned sociologist who previously served as a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chittagong. He has received various accolades, including the Ekushey Padak, Bengali Academy Literature Award, and the Nazrul Award, among others.

"Course Completion Celebration of Batch 35: Strengthening Alumni Bonds”

On the 20th of September 2023, Batch 35, affectionately referred to as "Entangled 35" from Premier University's Computer Science and Engineering Department, hosted a memorable event to celebrate the completion of their coursework. This gathering not only recognized the academic accomplishments of the graduating students but also highlighted the deep bonds between the students and their alumni. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including members of the Executive Committee, alongside prominent figures such as Honourable PROF. Dr. Anupam Sen (Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, Chittagong), PROF. Dr. Taufique Sayeed (Treasurer, Premier University), Chief advisor of CSEAA-PU Dr. Shahid Md. Asif Iqbal (Associate Professor & Chairman, Dept. of CSE, Premier University), Advisor CSEAA-PU Mr. Syed MD. Minhaz Hossain (Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, Premier University), and Alumni of the association Mr. Kingshuk Dhar (Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE and Proctor, Premier University).

The celebration vividly showcased the profound respect and warmth exhibited by Batch 35 towards their alumni, underscoring the tightly-knit community within the CSE Department.

Members of the association, including President Richard Biswas (Deputy Director & Maintenance Engineer, Bangladesh Bank), Treasurer Farhana Shirin Chowdhury (Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, Premier University) Joint Secretary Abdul Kader Akib (Founder & CEO, Top5Way & ICT School), Organizing Secretary Md. Shajjadul Hossain Shuvo (Senior Officer, ADN Telecom Limited), Co-Organizing Secretary Samar Das (Co-Founder, Analytica Limited) , along with members Saran Barua (Co-founder of Makeup Coders) and Md. Mujibur Rahman, attended the event to express their support. During their presence, they extended their best wishes to Batch 35 and formally invited them to become part of the department's alumni association, highlighting the networking opportunities it offers. President of the association Richard Biswas, in his inspirational speech, underscored the significance of maintaining robust alumni connections and the valuable guidance, mentorship, and career support they provide.

The course completion celebration of Batch 35 was a testament to the department's commitment to nurturing a vibrant academic community. ||CSE Alumni Association Premier University Holds Extended Meeting||

On September 17, 2023, the CSE Alumni Association of Premier University held an extended meeting, presided by Richard Biswas, President of the Association and Maintenance Engineer(DD) at Bangladesh Bank.

The meeting was attended by a large number of alumni, who shared their thoughts on the welfare and future growth of the association. Some of the key points discussed included:

√ Ways to strengthen the connection between alumni and the university

√ Opportunities for alumni to contribute to the development of the university's CSE program.

√ Initiatives to promote the professional growth and development of alumni.

Mr. Biswas emphasized the importance of alumni involvement in the association, and encouraged all alumni to participate in its activities and initiatives. He also highlighted the association's commitment to promoting the welfare and success of its members.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to Mr. Biswas and the other members of the association's executive committee for their hard work and dedication.

Alumni also expressed their support for the association's initiatives to promote the professional growth and development of its members. They suggested that the association could organize more workshops, seminars, and other events on topics relevant to the CSE profession.

The association's executive committee took note of the feedback from alumni and committed to working towards implementing their suggestions.
