🎓 Milestone Achieved: Capstone Project Defense (Part II) – Fall 2025 Batch
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is proud to announce the successful completion of the Capstone Project: Part II (CSE 402) defense for our 15th batch!

On April 21, 2026, 30 talented students across 10 groups presented their final-year projects, marking the culmination of four years of hard work, late-night coding, and academic dedication. From 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, the department was buzzing with innovation and real-world solutions.

🌟The Evaluation Board
The projects were meticulously evaluated by an esteemed panel of experts:

External Examiner: Dr. Mahmudul Hasan (Associate Professor, CSE, CoU)

শুভ নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩ 🌸

নতুন বছরের এই শুভক্ষণে আমাদের প্রিয় বিভাগের সকল শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকা, সম্মানিত ডিন স্যার, প্রিয় বিভাগীয় প্রধান, শ্রদ্ধেয় অ্যালামনাই এবং প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থীদের জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও ভালোবাসা।

পুরোনো বছরের সব ক্লান্তি, ব্যর্থতা ও না-পাওয়াকে পেছনে ফেলে নতুন স্বপ্ন, নতুন লক্ষ্য আর নতুন উদ্যম নিয়ে আমরা যেন সামনে এগিয়ে যেতে পারি, এই কামনাই রইলো। এই নববর্ষ আমাদের সবার জীবনে নিয়ে আসুক সাফল্য, সুস্থতা, জ্ঞানচর্চার নতুন দিগন্ত এবং পারস্পরিক সম্মান ও সৌহার্দ্যের বন্ধনকে আরও দৃঢ় করুক।

আজকের অ্যালামনাই স্পটলাইটে আমাদের সিএসই বিভাগের পাইওনিয়ার(১ম) ব্যাচের গর্ব, সাদিয়া আফরিন।

একাডেমিক জীবন থেকে শুরু করে আন্তর্জাতিক কর্পোরেট পরিবেশ, দুই জায়গাতেই তিনি নিজের দক্ষতার স্বাক্ষর রেখেছেন। একজন IT Lecturer হিসেবে তাঁর ক্যারিয়ার শুরু, যেখানে তিনি Nangalkot Govt Degree College-এ (2020–2022) শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রযুক্তিগত ভিত্তি গড়ে তুলেছেন।

এরপর তিনি পা রাখেন গ্লোবাল টেক ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে। Microsoft 365 (China)-এর সাথে Wicresoft-এর মাধ্যমে Technical Support Engineer হিসেবে (2023–2025) কাজ করার সময় তিনি বিশ্বব্যাপী ক্লায়েন্টদের জন্য জটিল টেকনিক্যাল সমস্যার সমাধান দিয়েছেন।

M365 ecosystem বিশেষ করে Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, এ তাঁর গভীর দক্ষতা তাঁকে একটি শক্তিশালী এন্টারপ্রাইজ-লেভেলের প্রফেশনাল হিসেবে গড়ে তুলেছে। সমস্যা সমাধান, সিস্টেম অপটিমাইজেশন এবং ক্লায়েন্ট সাপোর্ট, এই তিনটি জায়গায় তাঁর কাজ ছিল অত্যন্ত প্রভাবশালী।

একাডেমিক ভিত্তি থেকে গ্লোবাল ইন্ডাস্ট্রি, এই যাত্রা আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বার্তা দেয়: শেখার কোনো শেষ নেই, আর সঠিক স্কিল থাকলে বিশ্বই আপনার কর্মক্ষেত্র।

আজকের অ্যালামনাই স্পটলাইটে আমাদের সিএসই বিভাগের ২য় ব্যাচের গর্ব, জারিন তাসনিম রথী।

বাইউস্ট থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে তিনি একাডেমিক ও ইন্ডাস্ট্রি, দুই ক্ষেত্রেই নিজের দক্ষতার স্বাক্ষর রেখেছেন। বর্তমানে তিনি Northern University Bangladesh-এ Lecturer হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন, যেখানে ভবিষ্যৎ প্রযুক্তিবিদদের গড়ে তুলতে কাজ করছেন।

তিনি Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) থেকে Information System Security-এ MSc সম্পন্ন করেছেন, যা সাইবার সিকিউরিটি ও তথ্য নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ে তাঁর বিশেষায়িত দক্ষতার প্রমাণ।

পেশাগত জীবনে তিনি Datasoft Systems Bangladesh Limited-এ ইন্টার্নশিপ সম্পন্ন করেছেন এবং পরবর্তীতে Renssoft Solutions Limited-এ SQA Engineer হিসেবে প্রায় এক বছর কাজ করেছেন। সফটওয়্যার কোয়ালিটি অ্যাস্যুরেন্স থেকে একাডেমিক প্ল্যাটফর্ম, এই বহুমাত্রিক অভিজ্ঞতা তাঁকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করেছে।

আজকের অ্যালামনাই স্পটলাইটে আমাদের সিএসই বিভাগের ৬ষ্ঠ ব্যাচের গর্ব, শেখ শরফুদ্দিন রেজা আলী চৌধুরী।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শুরুর আগেই, তিনি সাংবাদিকতার মাধ্যমে তার কর্মজীবন শুরু করেন bdnews24.com-এর সঙ্গে কাজ করার মাধ্যমে।

পরবর্তীতে কোভিড-১৯ মহামারির সময় খণ্ডকালীনভাবে সিঙ্গাপুর ভিত্তিক Borderless Healthcare Group-এর একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানে জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন, যেখানে প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের জন্য অনলাইনে স্বাস্থ্যসেবা পৌঁছে দেওয়ার কাজে যুক্ত ছিলেন।

শিশু অধিকার নিয়ে প্রিন্ট ও অনলাইন মিডিয়ায় সৃজনশীল অবদানের জন্য তিনি ২০১৬ সালে UNICEF Meena Media Award অর্জন করেন। এছাড়াও, জার্মানভিত্তিক আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদমাধ্যম Deutsche Welle (DW) তার সাক্ষাৎকার প্রকাশ করেছিল।

এরপর তিনি নেপালের জনপ্রিয় টেলিভিশন শো Quiz Mania–এর বাংলাদেশ প্রধান হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন, যা Nepal Television ও Kantipur Television-এ সম্প্রচারিত হয় এবং নেপালের সুপারস্টার Rajesh Hamal উপস্থাপনা করেন।

পরে তিনি মার্কেটিং ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে পদার্পণ করেন এবং প্রাথমিকভাবে Analyzen ও Extra Cheese–এ কাজ করেন। বর্তমানে তিনি বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম পুরোনো ও নেতৃত্বস্থানীয় বিজ্ঞাপনী সংস্থাগুলোর একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান Adcomm Limited–এ Digital Media Specialist হিসেবে কর্মরত আছেন।

বিভিন্ন এজেন্সিতে কাজ করার সময় ৪৩টিরও বেশি ব্র্যান্ডের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন। এর মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য ব্র্যান্ডগুলো হলো: Red Bull, Ethiopian Airlines, KFC, Unilever, Voice of America, Aarong ও অন্যান্য।
