Universal College Bangladesh(UCBD) was honored to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), under the Australian High Commission , for a truly meaningful and forward-looking engagement.

The delegation comprised Mr. Vik Singh, Consul (Commercial) and Trade & Investment Commissioner for South Asia; Ms. Megha Gupta, Trade and Investment Commissioner for Bangladesh; and Mr. Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Director of Trade and Investment for Greater South Asia — each bringing remarkable expertise and a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between Australia and Bangladesh.

The esteemed guests were warmly received by UCBD's leadership team, including Mr. Manas Singh, CEO of STS Group; Mr. Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of UCBD; and Prof. Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Dean of Academic Affairs. The delegates were taken on an immersive tour of the UCBD campus — exploring our state-of-the-art laboratories, modern facilities, and vibrant cafeteria — before sitting down for a warm and substantive discussion on expanding higher education pathways for Bangladeshi students to Australia and fostering deeper academic collaboration between our institutions.

This visit marks a significant milestone in UCBD's journey toward global academic partnership — opening new horizons for our students and the broader educational landscape of Bangladesh. We look forward to a future built on shared vision, mutual growth, and lasting opportunity.

Team Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) recently visited Vertical Horizon in Dhanmondi and conducted an engaging workshop for A Level students, highlighting opportunities to pursue international degree programmes locally at UCBD’s Gulshan-1 campus in Dhaka. The session introduced study route options from Monash University (Australia & Malaysia), the University of London – London School of Economics, and the University of Lancashire.
The session was conducted by Mr. Vaishakh Nair, Head of Enrollment, and Ms. Nusrat Chowdhury, Senior Counsellor, from UCBD. Team UCBD was warmly welcomed by Mr. Syed Mohammad Fahim, Managing Director of Vertical Horizon.
The students showed tremendous enthusiasm and actively engaged throughout the session, making it a truly enjoyable and impactful experience.

Bridging the world of academia and industry begins with the right conversations — and today, Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) had just that. We were delighted to host Mr. Shehzad Munim — Independent Director, Linde Bangladesh Limited and Former Managing Director, BAT Bangladesh.
Mr. Munim joined our leadership team for a warm and forward-looking discussion with Mr. Manas Singh, CEO of STS Group; Mr. Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of UCBD; Prof. Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Dean of Academic Affairs; and Prof. Hew Gill, President & Provost of UCBD. Together, they explored how academic programmes can better align with corporate realities, and discussed expanding Internship and Placement opportunities for UCBD students — a step toward ensuring every graduate is truly workforce-ready.
