নর্দান ইউনিভার্সিটি বাংলাদেশ (এনইউবি)তে বিশ্ব মেধাস্বত্ব দিবস-২০২৬ উপলক্ষে এক আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। রবিবার (২৬ এপ্রিল, ২০২৬) বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাসে এ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কোষাধ্যক্ষ অধ্যাপক ড. ইঞ্জি মো. মোস্তফিজুর রহমান।

আলোচক হিসেবে বক্তব্য রাখেন বিজনেস অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন বিভাগের প্রধান ড. সান্টু কুমার ঘোষ এবং আইন বিভাগের প্রধান মোহাম্মদ আকতারুল আলম চৌধুরী।

অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন অতিরিক্ত রেজিস্ট্রার মেজর এম এ রাজ্জাক, ডেপুটি রেজিস্ট্রার কবির উদ্দিন খান। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন টেক্সটাইল বিভাগের প্রধান জি এম ফয়সাল, বাংলা বিভাগের ড. মো. হাসান ফরিদসহ বিভিন্ন বিভাগের শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ।
আলোচনায় ড. সান্টু কুমার ঘোষ দৈনন্দিন জীবনে মেধাসত্ত্ব, বিজনেস এবং বিশেষ করে নর্দান ইউনিভার্সিটির ক্ষেত্রে মেধাসত্ত্বের গুরুত্ব নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন।

আইন বিভাগের প্রধান মোহাম্মদ আকতারুল আলম চৌধুরী প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে মেধাসত্ত্ব বিষয়ে আলোচনা করেন। তিনি বলেন, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পর্যায় থেকে মেধাসত্ত্ব তৈরি হচ্ছে, তাই কীভাবে এগুলো রক্ষা করা যাবে সে বিষয়ে নীতিমালা (পলিসি) সৃষ্টি করতে হবে। তিনি মেধাসত্ত্বের প্রমোশন, প্রটেকশন ও এনফোর্সমেন্টের ওপর জোর দেন। এ জন্য পাবলিক ও প্রাইভেট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পর্যায়ে একটি ইউনিক কাঠামো তৈরির কথা বলেন।
