🎓 Welcome & Introduction Session of the 44th Intake | Department of Textile Engineering, BUBT

The Department of Textile Engineering, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), warmly welcomed the students of the 44th Intake through a memorable Welcome & Introduction Session.

The session began with the introduction of the faculty members, followed by an introduction to the Intake In-Charge. The Moderator of the Textile Club, BUBT, also addressed the students and shared valuable insights about university life, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

The Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering delivered a valuable speech on university life, departmental practices, culture, academic excellence, and discipline. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, being consistent in academic pursuits, and developing the right habits to achieve good results throughout their university journey.

Following the session, the students were accompanied by the Intake Advisor on a visit to the well-equipped laboratories of the Department of Textile Engineering, BUBT. The visit allowed the newly admitted students to become familiar with the department’s practical learning facilities and industry-relevant machinery and equipment.

The session marked the beginning of a new chapter for the students of the 44th Intake, introducing them to their department, faculty members, academic environment, and the vibrant culture of BUBT.

🎉 Congratulations on the Publication of a Research Article by the Faculty Members of the Department of Textile Engineering

The Department of Textile Engineering, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) is pleased to announce the publication of a research article entitled:

“Green Flame Retardants for Cellulosic and Polymeric Textile Fibers: Mechanisms, Sustainability, and Future Directions”

The article has been published in Polymer-Plastics Technology and Materials (Q2), an international peer-reviewed journal in the field of polymer science and materials technology.

The research article provides a comprehensive overview of green flame-retardant approaches for cellulosic and polymeric textile fibers, with emphasis on their mechanisms of action, sustainability, environmental considerations, existing challenges, and future research directions. The study highlights the potential of environmentally responsible flame-retardant technologies in supporting the development of more sustainable textile materials.

Capstone Project Defence Boards – Intakes 33 & 34

The Department of Textile Engineering at Bangladesh University of Business & Technology (BUBT) successfully conducted the Capstone Project Defence Boards for the Diploma Graduates of Intake 33 and the Regular Students of Intake 34.
