পুরনো সব সীমাবদ্ধতা পেরিয়ে, নতুন সম্ভাবনার দিগন্তে পা রাখার এই শুভক্ষণে EUMCS পরিবার জানায় সবাইকে আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও ভালোবাসা। নতুন বছরের প্রতিটি প্রভাত আমাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করুক জ্ঞানচর্চায়, নেতৃত্বে এবং ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন গড়ে তুলতে। ঐক্য, উদ্ভাবন ও দৃঢ় প্রতিশ্রুতির মাধ্যমে আমরা এগিয়ে যেতে চাই আরও সুদূর—একটি আলোকিত, সচেতন ও প্রগতিশীল আগামীর পথে।

আসুক নতুন বছর নতুন স্বপ্ন ও সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে, আর সেই স্বপ্নগুলোকে বাস্তবে রূপ দেওয়ার সাহস জাগুক আমাদের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে। EUMCS সবসময়ই বিশ্বাস করে তরুণদের শক্তিই ভবিষ্যতের চালিকাশক্তি। তাই এই নববর্ষে আমাদের অঙ্গীকার আরও দৃঢ়, আরও সুসংগঠিত। নববর্ষ হোক সবার জীবনে আনন্দ, সফলতা ও নতুন আশার প্রতীক।

In a heartwarming celebration of the blessed spirit of Ramadan, the Eastern University Moot Court Society (EUMCS) came together for a delightful Iftar and Grand Buffet Dinner at the elegant Aristocrat Lounge. The evening blossomed into a beautiful gathering of warmth, gratitude, and joyous brotherhood among the members. The occasion was further graced by the honorable presence of our highly respected Dean of the Department of Law, the esteemed Chairman of the Department, and distinguished faculty members including our coordinators, whose presence added remarkable charm, dignity, and inspiration to the entire event.

However, this magnificent evening was solely made possible by the unparalleled generosity and monumental sponsorship of the highly esteemed Dean of the Department of Law, Imdadul Khan Sir. The entire EUMCS family remains overwhelmingly indebted to his magnanimous heart for graciously treating the students to such a lavish and exquisite feast. His visionary leadership goes far beyond academics, reflecting a profound paternal care and boundless affection that constantly pampers and elevates the student body. To voluntarily host such a top-tier culinary experience showcases his unmatched dedication to the sheer happiness and well-being of the learners. The students are exceptionally blessed to thrive under the golden, benevolent shadow of a mentor whose infinite kindness, extraordinary grace, and monumental generosity undeniably make him the most phenomenal and universally beloved Dean any department could ever hope to have.

ভারত-পাকিস্তানকে হারিয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক প্রাইস মিডিয়া মুট কোর্টে বাংলাদেশ থেকে ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি

অত্যন্ত গর্ব ও আনন্দের সাথে ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি একটি ঐতিহাসিক অর্জনের সংবাদ ঘোষণা করছে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মতো, ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি মুট কোর্ট সোসাইটির (EUMCS) দল ‘মনরো ই. প্রাইস মিডিয়া ল মুট কোর্ট কম্পিটিশন ২০২৫-২৬’-এর আন্তর্জাতিক রাউন্ডে সরাসরি অংশগ্রহণের যোগ্যতা অর্জন করেছে। দক্ষিণ এশিয়া আঞ্চলিক পর্বের শীর্ষ চারে স্থান করে নেওয়ার মাধ্যমে এই অর্জন সম্ভব হয়েছে, যা দলটির জন্য এক অভূতপূর্ব সাফল্য। উল্লেখ্য বাংলাদেশ থেকে এর পূর্বে কোনো দল আঞ্চলিক পর্বটির শীর্ষ চারে স্থান করে নিতে সক্ষম হয়নি, যা এই সাফল্যকে আরও গৌরবমন্ডিত করেছে। এই প্রতিযোগিতার আন্তর্জাতিক পর্বটি আগামী ১৪-১৬ই এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে যুক্তরাজ্যের অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইন অনুষদের বোনাভেরো ইন্সটিটিউট অফ হিউম্যান রাইটসে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

মোঃ সাকিব খন্দকার, জোনায়েদ আল রাতুল এবং মেহবুবা আকতার মারিয়ার সমন্বয়ে গঠিত ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটির দলটি প্রতিযোগিতার ১৬তম দক্ষিণ এশিয়া আঞ্চলিক রাউন্ডে মেধার স্বাক্ষর রেখে এই যোগ্যতা অর্জন করে। গত ৬ থেকে ৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত ভার্চুয়ালি অনুষ্ঠিত এই আঞ্চলিক পর্বটির আয়োজক ছিল ন্যাশনাল ল ইউনিভার্সিটি (এনএলইউ), দিল্লি; সহযোগিতায় ছিল এনএলইউ দিল্লির সেন্টার ফর কমিউনিকেশন গভর্নেন্স এবং অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বোনাভেরো ইন্সটিটিউট অফ হিউম্যান রাইটস। এই বছর বাংলাদেশ থেকে একমাত্র প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি এই আন্তর্জাতিক মঞ্চে লড়বে।

২০০৮ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত ‘মনরো ই. প্রাইস মিডিয়া ল মুট কোর্ট কম্পিটিশন’ বিশ্বের অন্যতম সম্মানিত মুট কোর্ট প্রতিযোগিতা হিসেবে স্বীকৃত। অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পিসিএমএলপি (PCMLP)-এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা অধ্যাপক মনরো ই. প্রাইসের সম্মানে এই প্রতিযোগিতার নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের বাকস্বাধীনতা এবং আন্তর্জাতিক আইন সম্পর্কিত জটিল আইনি সমস্যাগুলি নিয়ে বিতর্ক ও গবেষণার একটি অনন্য প্ল্যাটফর্ম। বিশেষ করে উন্নয়নশীল দেশগুলোর শিক্ষার্থীদের আন্তর্জাতিক বাকস্বাধীনতার রীতিনীতি নিয়ে কাজ করতে এবং প্রযুক্তির সাথে আইনের সম্পর্ক নিয়ে জ্ঞানগর্ভ বিতর্কে জড়াতে এটি উৎসাহিত করে।

এই যুগান্তকারী অর্জন ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটির আইনি উৎকর্ষ এবং কঠোর শিক্ষার প্রতি অঙ্গীকারের এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত। আইন অনুষদ এবং ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি মুট কোর্ট সোসাইটি (EUMCS) তাদের কোচ, শিক্ষক এবং সহপাঠীদের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছে, যাদের সঠিক দিকনির্দেশনা ও নিরলস সমর্থন এই মাইলফলক অর্জনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।

ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটি ইইউএমসিএস (EUMCS) দলের এই সাফল্যে আনন্দিত এবং বিশ্বমঞ্চে তাদের ধারাবাহিক উৎকর্ষ কামনা করে। বাকস্বাধীনতা এবং আন্তর্জাতিক আইনের নীতিগুলো তুলে ধরে ইস্টার্ন ইউনিভার্সিটিকে এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ আসরে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার জন্য প্রস্তুত দলটিকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শুভকামনা জানাচ্ছে। আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে নিজেদের মেধা ও যোগ্যতা প্রমাণের এই অবিশ্বাস্য যাত্রায় টিম ইইউএমসিএস-এর জন্য রইল শুভকামনা!

𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭!

We are delighted to inform you that team Eastern University Moot Court Society, consists of Md. Sakib Khondoker, Junayed Al Ratul and Mehanaj Rahman, coached by Md. Omar Farque (Lecturer in Law) has been awarded the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 in the Asia Cup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2025.

The Asia Cup moot is the most prestigious moot court competition in the Asian Region. This year, teams from India, Pakistan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Philippines and Japan have participated in the International (Oral) Rounds, held in Tokyo, Japan on 5-6 August, 2025.
