St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka

St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka Advancing in wisdom and virtue. Saint Joseph Higher Secondary School is conducted by the Brothers of Holy Cross.

Brother Jude Costello, CSC founded the school in the year 1954 at 32, Shah Shaheb Lane, Narinda. The school was shifted to the present address in 1964. In the beginning it was an English Medium Cambridge school & in 1972 following the Government decision,it was changed to a Bengali Medium Secondary School under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. In 1999 the school opened the

Higher Secondary section in English Version (science) and in 2001 Bengali medium (science & business studies) & in 2004 Humanities group. In 2004 the school opened an English Version (NCTB Curriculum) section in class 6. At present, in each class we have 3 sections and one of them is English Version.

Though this is a late post, but the P.E.C. & J.S.C. Results of the Josephites were outstanding. 100% examinees passed. In P.E.C. everyone achieved GPA 5. And in J.S.C. only 7 students got A, rest of the got GPA 5. And no. of examinees were 160-170 in both the exams. Congrats to all!

সেদিন ছিল না
তা হলে কেমন ছিল সেদিনের যোসেফ?
তা হলে কেমন ছিল, অযাচিত জাঁকজমকের
আবরণে
বাণিজ্যের বেড়াজালে ঢেকে দেয়া এই
স্কুলখানি?
জানি,সেদিনের সব
স্মৃতি মুছে দিটে হয়েছে উদ্যত
কালো হাত। তাই দেখি কবিহীন বিমুখ

ছিলেন শিক্ষাদানে একনিষ্ঠ একদল অভিজ্ঞ
শিক্ষকগণ
ছিল একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী ক্যান্টিন,একটি বিশাল
রাবার গাছ
ছিলেন ছাত্রদের গড়ে তোলায়ে নিয়োজিত
নির্লোভ ব্রাদারগণ
আরো ছিল
সৌহার্দ্য,সহমর্মিতা,ভক্তি,ভালবাসা
ছিল একদল দুর্বার তরুণ
যারা সবকিছুতে ছিল অপরাজেয়
যাদের কীর্তিতে মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ হতো সবাই......
সেই থেকে "যোসেফাইট" শব্দটি আমাদের
( "নির্মলেন্দু গুণ" এর "স্বাধীনতা,এই
শব্দটি কিভাবে আমাদের হলো"

Like every year JCF is proud to present the annual cultural festival! But this time its "Grand Cultural Fest '13"! Our fest is scheduled on the 8th November, 2013, Friday; programmes start on 3.30 pm onwards. All the participants of any JCF event must be present to collect their awards. Besides, students from any school are welcome. Especially, Josephites (old or present) are invited along with their family.

A successful Inter School and Inter College Book Based Quiz by Josephite Cultural Forum! Participation was appreciable; although none could stand before the Josephites! In Inter School, the final was All-SJS! Although in Inter College, the team from St. Joseph had to fight hard against Dhaka City College to become the Champions. Thanks to everyone for your co-operation.

Inter School & Inter College Book Based Quiz- 2013 arranged by Josephite Cultural Forum will be held tomorrow, 25th October 2013, as per
schedule. All those who want to participate report at 8.30 am sharp for
registration at the St. Joseph School compound. Quiz will start at 9 am sharp. Note the following:

¤ Each team will consist 3 members of the same class of the same institution.

¤ Registration fee is Tk 300 per team.

¤ School uniforms for the participants are must.

¤ Rules & regulations of the Quiz will be declared on spot and any decision
taken by Josephite Cultural Forum are
the final ones.
