Dept. of Islamic Studies at MIU Organizes Fresher’s Reception & Career Guidance Seminar 2026
The Department of Islamic Studies at Manarat International University (MIU) organized a Fresher’s Reception & Career Guidance Seminar 2026 for the 4th, 5th, and Weekend batches on Tuesday (19 May 2026) at the auditorium of the university’s Permanent Campus.
Mr. Md. Manirul Islam, Treasurer of the university, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The event began at 10:00 AM with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and was chaired by Dr. Abu Ayub Md. Ibrahim, Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities and Head of the Department of Islamic Studies.
The programme was conducted in two sessions. In the first session, Dr. Muhammad Mostofa Hossain presented a career guidance session titled “Mastering Islamic Studies: Gateway towards a Global Journey,” where he highlighted global career opportunities, essential skills, and academic pathways for students of Islamic Studies.
Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Assistant Professor; Md. Kamruzzaman Khezree, Lecturer; and Mohammad Salem Al-Ahlhari also delivered their valuable speeches on the occasion.
In the second session, the freshers were formally welcomed to the department. The newly admitted students were received with flower sticks by the faculty members and guests as a gesture of warm reception and encouragement. Abdullah Bin Rabbani, President of the Islamic Studies Club, introduced the club’s future plans and executive committee members.
Faculty members delivered inspirational speeches emphasizing sincere intention, Islamic values, discipline, moral character, academic excellence (Ihsan), guidance from teachers, and self-development for contributing positively to society.
The programme also featured soulful nasheed performances by students. The event concluded at 1:30 PM with closing remarks by Dr. Abu Ayub Md. Ibrahim, making the event an inspiring and memorable occasion for the newly admitted students.
