The entire BUFT Photography Club family is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of our respected Sir, Md. Abdul Bari Sheikh.

It is truly heartbreaking to lose someone who was a part of our university family. His kindness, guidance, and the memories he shared with his students and colleagues will always remain close to our hearts.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family, colleagues, and students the strength and patience to bear this great loss.

You will always be remembered with respect and prayers.

May Allah grant him eternal peace. Ameen.

A New Chapter Begins at BUFT 🎓📸

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) welcomed the newest members of its family through the Central Orientation Program for Fall 2026, held on 25 August 2026 at the Abdullah Hil Rakib Auditorium.

The event was chaired by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the BUFT Board of Trustees, with Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, joining as the Chief Guest.

The program was also graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Mohammed Nasir, Member of the BUFT Board of Trustees; Mr. S. M. Khaled, Managing Director of Snowtex Group; Mr. Md. Shahriar, President of BPAMEA; and Ms. Swapna Bhowmik, BUFT alumna and former Head of Region at Marks & Spencer.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor, BUFT, along with Mr. Md. Rafiquzzaman, Registrar; Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of Public Relations; and Prof. Dr. Md. Waliul Alam, Director of Students’ Welfare, also addressed the new students.

For the fresh faces of Batch 262, this Central Orientation marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with learning, friendship, creativity, and countless memories.

BUFT Photography Club was proud to play a vital role in documenting this memorable day, capturing the smiles, excitement, emotions, and special moments of the newest members of the BUFT family. 📸
