Sheikh Kabir Hossain Chairman
Mr. Sheikh Kabir Hossain born in SHEIKH family of Tungipara, Gopalgonj. His father Late Shiekh Mosharraf Hossain was a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
M. A. from Dhaka University. Served Government office, Bank, Corporation & resigned from service in the year 1982 and started the business.
Presently he is the Chairman of Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), Regent-Board Member of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU), Chairman of Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL), Chairman of Sonar Bangla Insurance Limited, Sonarbangla Capital Management Ltd. (Merchant Bank), Health and Education for the Local Under Privileged People (HELP); Managing Director, Kabico Limited and Managing Partner of a Chinese Restaurant.
Presently Chairman, Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA); Member, Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mojibur Rahman Trustee Board; Board of Governors of Bangladesh Open University; Vice Chairman, Islamia Eye Hospital & Ispahani Eye Institute; Member, Dhaka Club Limited; Golf Club, Kurmitola, Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club; Dhanmondi Club Limited; Honorary Member, Uttara Club Limited.
He is the Founder of various educational institutions in the locality.

District Governor of Lions District 315B1, Bangladesh. Elected International Director for the term 2005-2007 of Lions Clubs International. He obtained number of awards from Lions Clubs International and also obtained “Sher-E-Bangla Gold Medal-2000” for “Shamaj Sheba” (Service to Society) from Bangla Youth Forum. “Desh Bandhu Gold Medal” from Desh Bandhu C. R. Dash Research Council on “Manab Sheba” (Service for Humanity) for his social activities. He visited more than 28 countries of the world.
