Last Thursday, March 5, our campus came alive with inspiration as we gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026. The event, organized by the Gender Club of Central Women’s University, was a vibrant tribute to the power of female leadership and the pursuit of dreams. Students, faculty members, and distinguished guests came together in a shared space of reflection, dialogue, and empowerment.

The program began with a warm welcome address from our Registrar Elias Ahmed, who set a tone of inclusivity and appreciation for the trailblazing women who continue to shape our world.

At the heart of the celebration were the remarkable life stories of our three esteemed guests: Shahida Begum, Suraya Farhana Rasma, and Fowzia Yasmeen. Each speaker shared deeply personal journeys marked by perseverance, resilience, and success. Their narratives served as a powerful source of motivation for students and faculty members alike, reminding the audience that determination and courage can transform challenges into achievements.

Following their inspiring talks, Treasurer Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Jamal addressed the audience, reflecting on the lessons embedded in the speakers’ experiences. He emphasized that the stories shared during the program clearly demonstrate the importance of persistence, encouraging women to relentlessly pursue their ambitions and establish themselves as leaders in their respective fields.

The event also celebrated creativity and artistic expression. The atmosphere was enriched by a soul-stirring poetry recitation and a melodic song performance by the students that resonated throughout the hall. These artistic tributes beautifully complemented the day’s theme of strength, resilience, and grace.

To conclude the program, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Perween Hasan delivered a stirring closing speech and vote of thanks. She emphasized the importance of the guests' journeys as blueprints for the next generation, reminding everyone that the university remains a steadfast supporter of every woman's journey toward excellence.

The celebration stood as a powerful reminder that when 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, equality, and possibility.
