The Civil Career Summit 2025, organized by the Civil Engineering Club of Dhaka International University, was conducted with great enthusiasm and commendable success. The summit was designed to strengthen the connection between academic training and industrial practice, preparing civil engineering students for future professional challenges.
The program began at 11:00 AM with an interactive Mock Interview Session, where students took part in professional interview simulations conducted by industry experts. This session provided students with practical exposure, improved confidence, and helped them identify areas requiring refinement in communication and presentation.
After the mock interviews, the invited guests from industry visited the DIU campus and Civil Engineering laboratories. The modern facilities and academic environment received high appreciation. A formal meeting was then held with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahidul Islam and Departmental Adviser Prof. Dr. Ganesh Chandra Saha, joined by Department Chairman S M Sazzad Ahmed Shovon. Discussions involved future construction site visits, factory visits, internship placement opportunities, employment prospects, and collaboration in Capstone project evaluation as industry experts.
At 2:30 PM, the Career Counselling Session commenced, featuring distinguished speakers from renowned organizations who shared their experience and guidance.
